Overview

Casablanca is the largest and most populated city in Morocco, counting over 4,000,000 inhabitants (the Greater Casablanca area included). Because of its importance (being the economic capital of Morocco) and the movie with the same name, many people mistakenly think that Casablanca is the capital of Morocco, instead of Rabat. Casablanca is the 4th biggest in Africa!

Casablanca is a good place for shopping and going out, with many commercial centers and malls, clubs, night bars, discos. However, there aren't that many monuments and tourist attractions in Casablanca. The main monument that should be seen is the big Hassan II mosque, the only one which can be visited by non-muslims in Morocco.
