Rabat: How to Get There
By Plane
The Rabat-Salé airport is located 10 km to the north-east of Rabat, on the road to Meknes. Rabat (but other cities also) can be reached with grand taxis located outside. The prices are displayed right there on the taxi station. The drive to Rabat city center will cost you around 160 Dh.
Currently, there are no low-cost airlines flying to Rabat. The majority of the flights are managed by either Air France or Royal Air Maroc. Air France has flights to Rabat from Paris and vice-versa twice a day, 7 days a week.
By Car
You can say that in Morocco all roads lead to Rabat. Arriving in Rabat with a car is really easy, because all the highways pass through it.
Coming from the north, there is the highway from Tangier. From the east, the one that goes from Fes and Meknes, and from the south, the highway that goes from El-Jadida and Casablanca (the highway from Marrakech is connected to this one, too).
There is also the old coast road that goes from Casablanca to Rabat, but it is only worth driving the bit from Temara to Rabat, because the other parts offer no great views of the ocean and so the highway is a better choice.
Road distance between Rabat and other Moroccan cities:

By Train
Rabat has two train stations: Gare Rabat Ville (the main train station) and Gare Rabat Agdal.
Gare Rabat Ville
Avenue Mohammed V (Rabat city centre)
090 20 30 40
Working hours: Open from 7am-10pm, every day.
Note: The petit taxis are stationed right next to the train station, on your left when you exit it. There is a newsstand inside the station and a small currency exchange booth.
Gare Rabat Agdal
Rue Abderrahmane al-Ghafiqi (Agdal)
090 20 30 40
Note: The petit taxis are nearly always in front of the station, and especially when a train arrives. The drivers will usually ask you which neighbourhood you are going to, and you will have to find one which suits you. They are generally honest and don't cheat on tourists. Also, there is a big (paying) parking lot in front of this modern, very clean and good-looking train station.
It is very easy to reach Rabat by train, since all the lines pass through here. For example, there are trains to Casablanca (and the other way around) departing every 30 minutes.
